Priceville, On

The first settlers in the Priceville area were African Americans, who established a small community along the old Durham road east of the village. Many of the early settlers later moved to Owen Sound, Oro or Collingwood. All that remains is a cairn and a refurbished grave site at the intersection of Country road 14 and Durham road B Around 1850 Gaelic speaking Scottish people arrived.
For a small village, Priceville has many amenities. A park on the Saugeen river with a picnic area, swimming and fishing opportunities, a place to launch a kayak or a canoe. Great tobogganing hill, sports park and a children’s playground
